Very colorful

Look how much shorter Holly is and she's got heels on

This was right outside the entrance to the temple

My stay in CA so far

MONdAY:
  1. Flew into San Diego in the afternoon
  2. Went to Anthony's-great fish and chips place right on the water
  3. Went to SeaPort Village-looked at all the shops, bought some fudge, then some vendor told me the two words that describe me the most are JOY and COMPASSION (I'll take his word for it lol). He drew me a funky drawing that I can't wait to show Adam.
  4. Came HOME and relaxed
  5. Went to Burlington coat factory
  6. Went to Winco to buy treats and picked up a pizza there- MUCh better than Costco or Sam's Club pizza I must say
TUESDAY:
  1. Slept in :)
  2. Went to Harveston so we could walk around the lake while my sister ran
  3. Visited Adam's sister Rachel and her kids
  4. Watched Transformers to get ready for Transformers 2
WEDNESDAY:
Went to the Del Mar Fair with my family+ Brooke's bf Austin

First, we stopped at the beach so Brook and Austin could show me the Caves (The pictures came out fuzzy unfortunately. It was pretty overcast. I hope next week will be better b/c I want to go when the suns out.
We always see the hypnotist show done by this fine gentleman Mark Yusuik. He does a pretty good job with the family show. It's clean and fun. My brother got called up one year and had to smack his but and yell, "Who's your daddy?" My sister was hypnotized by him at her high school grad night recently and was involved in the shake your booty contest.
My dad looked all around the fair for a snack to eat while we waited to see Bill Engvall and he came back with a blooming onion. He said it was one of the "more healthy choices." lol everything is fried at the fair. Here are some things that should just never be eaten PERIOD that they fry--------->
We are BRIAN REGAN fans. We love him. I have seen him live before in Long Beach. We were surprised with Bill Engvall. He did a great show b/c we were laughing pretty hard most of the time.

THURSDAY:
  1. Ran a bunch of errands
  2. Made homemade salsa out of 20 lbs of tomatoes

FRIDAY:
  1. Laid out by the pool
  2. Saw Transformers 2 and I like it.
  3. Enjoyed some In-n-out (its been sixth months since I have eaten there) I always get a #2- cheeseburger with grilled onions with a Neapolitan shake.
  4. Relaxed and visited with my neighbor across the street who is like family to me.

TODAY:
  1. Went to the Gym-did zumba for my first time and like it.
  2. Went to the farmers fair in Old Town Temecula
  3. Enjoyed an award-winning Guaca Burger at Mad Madeline's Grill. My parents split the moster burger.
  4. Went Swimming
  5. Helped my mom clean around the house
  6. Now writing this blog

Much to look forward to

So I FINALLY bought a new swimsuit!! I checked out way too many shops online cuz the Provo-Orem area doesn't really have any swim shops. It took days of searching but I wanted to try something different. This victoria Secret tiger tankini is definitely different. I actually got it off ebay because they ran out on the victoria secret website. They are having a huge sale by the way for those looking for suits. Their bikini's are too darn cute. I don't wear those though. My husband doesn't like me sharing my body with anyone else, only him.

I get to wear it this friday to Seven Peaks. We are going with some friends after we go to Justin's wedding reception. I am so happy for him. He is Adam's old roommate and my STATS buddy-we helped each other get through that class. So it's only 4 dollars to get in for girls before 10 pm and 6 dollars for guys. They have a DJ and play hip hop tunes and all the slides are hot tubs are open.

I have three weeks left of school and I am counting the days. My flight is booked. I leave the 22nd for CA. I am going ALONE. This is the first time that Adam and I will be apart (2 1/2 weeks). We will definitely be missing each other. I am excited cuz my cousin is flying down for the second week and Erika is actually going to be in town (this never happens). My husband is going to stay and work and come down for his friends wedding around July 9th and pick me up, so we can go to the Incubus concert up here. I am so excited. I have seen them in concert before and they are amazing!! We are also seeing 311 in concert next week and the Fray sometime. It was a three for one deal. Tickets were only 45 dollars to see all three. I only really care to see Incubus though.

Ready for summer

Yesterday, I decided to try out a cycling class at the gym. Oh my gosh was it intense! My butt is killing me. My legs are not as sore as I thought they would be today. However, when I was done with the class, I got off the bike one leg at a time, and the first leg that touched the floor collapsed. I almost fell, kinda embarrassing. It was definitely worth it. I look forward to going next week and trying out the hip hop class that is a couple hours later (b/c they have a new instructor). I had a gym membership last year, and loved going to the hip hop class because they had a REALLY good instructor. Around the time I got engaged, that instructor quit because he was moving. I was dissapointed with the new instructor and let that get in my way of going to the gym. I ended my membership but I decided I wanted it back recently. I need to get in shape! Summer is just around the corner. Its been in the 90's here in Utah. It already seems like spring is gone.

I am sooooo ready for summer because that means classes are over for me! Oh the joys. I only have 4 more weeks left.

Did I mention that my favorite show in the whole wide world started tonight. Its on commercial as I write this. SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE BAYBEEE!!!!!!!!! I am a huge fan.

Also, I am in the mood to go swimsuit shopping. Does anyone know where I can get a cute tankini?

This is going to take some getting use to

My sister has a BOYFRIEND! It seems like yesterday when she still hated boys. She would always talk about how all guys are horrible (including all those in the church) because they all like to look at nasty girls, whether on t.v., at school, the beach, etc. I never thought i would see the day because she still acts like a little girl, even though she is SUPER independent and confident with anything she does. Anyways, she looked amazing at her prom this past weekend, in a dress she ordered off ebay. I am happy that she has broken out of her shell in this area. It's just going to take some getting use to. Its super fun though having her call me and talk about what she should say to him, or telling me about all the kisses they give each other. She is going away to college in the fall. She better not come home with a ring on her finger! lol

updates

First before I talk about Adam and I, I want to say that my little sister looked so beautiful last night. She went to her senior Prom with Austin, in one of my old dresses. My mom added on sleeves for her. I can't believe how fast she is growing up. That means I am getting old. She is going away to college next year and my mom is going to be an empty nester! WEIRD

I wanted to update some pictures, mainly for my lovely parents. My dad went to Cabella's last year and brought me home a Cabella's hat. He told me that I needed to go sometime to see Bambi. Bambi was my favorite movie when I was a little girl, infact, my first favorite movie. I watched it several times a day when I was two years old. So dad, I took a picture with Bambi just for you :) We went to Cabella's last weekend and decided to stop by IKEA after. We ate lunch there and it was super cheap, but not soo tastey. I only enjoyed their lingonberry juice. **We got fishing licenses while we were at Cabella's and Adam and I have gone out twice since then. I still haven't caught any fish yet. We apparently didn't get the memo for the right bait. So next time we go, we should be bringing some fish home!**

On to more exciting news....ok not for anyone but me. Here is the bathroom after Adam cleaned it for me. The cabinent is a little crowded it usually just has the fake orchids and picture on it. We bought a stereo for our ipod for when we take showers and go camping. We use it all the time so it's permanently found a home there. That is the lovely rose my husband left me, just because. He is so sweet :) Oh and yesterday we bought a new rug that totally matches our shower curtain, i love it because it is so soft on your feet.

Ok, and last but not least it was time to dye my hair. I know its spring and all and usually people go lighter, but I wanted to go darker. Its getting pretty long too. I think its time for a trim.

Here is the most recent pictures of me and my hubby! I love him so much. We took this yesterday before we went out to Red Robbin. I just love their seasoning on their fries. I am soo tempted to steal it each time we go.

Some actually exciting news. SO my husband is selling this spring/summer comcast so we can bring in some extra cash. Its pretty much a cake job cuz its cheaper than anything out here right now by A LOT. If you do minimum sales you average a little over 3,000 a month. He might work with his friend at Parks too which is not as exciting because its only 7.50 an hour plus commission (got to love Utah).....but you get free passes to all the ski resorts. I am not working cuz I am taking classes right now. Adam also has another job lined up (for the most part) after graduation where he will be making 50,000. This way we can start saving for a house before he jumps into grad school.

4. Her smile is enough to make me feel happy all day
3. Nobody understands me like she does (2 peas in a pod)
2. She is an amazingly precious daughter of God (and the prettiest girl I've ever seen)
1. She loves me almost as much as I love her

Seriously?

I was overwhelmed with the horrible stench of B.O. that filled the air as I entered the testing center today. People need to remember to take showers during finals week. It was horrible. Not only did it smell so bad that I thought I was going to pass out from suffication, the ventilation system wasn't working. I had to sit down and endure the hot, stuffy, smelly, room as I took my 100 question multiple choice test. On top of that this kid next to me kept staring at me. He wasn't like checking me out or anything, he was just comtemplating. It kept distracting me though. Anywho, I ended up doing well. Not as well as my last test. Under better circumstances, I GOT A 100% ON MY LAST FINAL. I was pretty stoaked.

Some cooking secrets:
We always like trying new things. Tonight my husband made dinner and I made dessert. He made chicken fettucini with brown sugared carrots. He seasoned the chicken with garlic salt and zesty italian dressing and it was REALLY good. I decided to make creeme cheese brownies and they were amazing. Make your brownies how you like them and then make this cream cheese layer :o)

  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 (16 ounce) container prepared chocolate frosting
In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese, butter and cornstarch until fluffy. Gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk, egg and vanilla until smooth. Pour cream cheese mixture evenly over brownie batter. Bake in preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until top is lightly browned. Allow to cool, spread with frosting, and cut into bars. Store covered in refrigerator, or freeze in a single layer for up to 2 weeks.

Lovely

I can't believe that as soon as this semester ends, the next one begins. BYU never gives you any breaks!! I start spring term on the 28th (the tuesday after finals week) I decided I am not going to summer term (I need a break from school and time to visit CA). Adam and I will still graduate in December. We walk in August though. How silly is that?

Some side notes...

I LOVE :

I just love the classic style vans. I have two pairs: brown ones and all black ones. I want to get some fun colored ones. I want a blue pair and maybe a purple. I am not a fan of the blue vans in the picture, I want a different color blue. Its great that they have so many different colors. These shoes are comfortable and perfect for my narrow feet.

I also LOVE and can't live without:

Hemptz lip balm

This is the only thing that protects my lips during winter season. Its so dry up here in Utah and this works like magic for me. Regular chapstick just doesn't cut it.

Last Weekend

We were able to go snowboarding :)

Here I am wearing a jacket way too large for my little frame. Outdoors unlimited over at BYU didn't have any small jackets available, or girl jackets for that matter.

LOL I look like a little boy here!!!

I wouldn't recommend renting boards from BYU. I had trouble carrying my board because it was so dang heavy, and the bindings were super ghetto. I am thinking thats what made the board so heavy. We would have gone somewhere else to rent if we hadn't waited till the last minute. We took off to Brighton right after we rented my lovely gear.

I do like my lavendar boarding pants though (they look like a dull grey here becuase Adam had my camera on a funky setting) . They were over a hundred dollars on sale for 35 bucks.

Even with my crappy gear, we had a GREAT time!! It was so fun to get out and do something other than school for a change. Adam was surprised at how good I was (It was our first time going together). I have to admit I was surprised by myself too. It's been years since I have been. Total, I have only been like four times in my life (including this time).
I always get nervous when the time comes to get off the lift, even though I never fall. For some reason I have anxiety issues with it. I am afraid I am going to hurt not only myself but someone else some day.
Adam is a such a sweetheart because he stayed with me on the intermediate runs, even though he is pretty much pro. Sadly, I got tired after going down like four times. That just proved to me how badly I need to get back in shape!! I let Adam go off for a little bit, while I rested, cuz I know he missed doing the park runs with the jumps and rails. This is the first time in a long time that he doesn't have a season pass to Canyons or Park City. After he returned, I went up with him a couple more times before we left. We went and ate at Good Wood after because were in the mood for some good barbeque.

Did I mention we only have two weeks left until finals? Its great. We are past all the hard stuff. We have a couple papers and assignments left, but thats it. It's wonderful, I enjoy having time with my hubby!!!

This weekend we were privileged to be able to enjoy conference, and to spend time with Adam's parents. Conference was sooo good. I was surprised at how quickly each session passed by. If you didn't hear all the messages make sure to look them up. They were powerful and inspiring.
On saturday, we went to Outback Steakhouse with the in-laws as well as with Carrie and Mark (Adams Aunt and Uncle). They are hoot. We had a good time. Outback's bloomin onion is pretty good, but the coconut shrimp is by far their best appetizer (FYI). Adam and I always get the Outback Special every time we go, with the sweet potato and green beans. Their sweet potatoe tastes like dessert. It is my favorite. After, we went and saw Fast and Furious. It was pretty good besides the girl make-out scenes (which were so unnecessary).

Much needed

So our life is PRETTY DARN STRESSFUL right now. I feel like that is an understatement. We are drowning in school work and tests and living on campus. School=Our life. It makes it hard because we miss out on being together. ON SLEEP. The weekends are occupied with school, school, school. I can't remember the last time we did something together. I miss going to the temple and going on dates. I miss having time for myself. Time for friends. I am use to having some type of outlet. I am venting YES. As I am venting though, I am thinking about how lucky I am to be at BYU, to have such a wonderful husband and to have the gospel in my life. There is only a month left of this CRAZy semester and we are going to make it.

I got a scholarship for spring and summer. So Adam and I will be finishing up Fall Semester. I am so HAPPY. I can't wait to be done. I am ready for a new adventure. To get out of UTAH and get a job somewhere in CA.

What is much needed is EXCERCISE. I have been assigned to be in this excerise experiment for psychology. Otherwise I wouldn't be doing it. I started it tonight. Its uplifted my mood.

I can't believe it!!

My brother goes into the MTC on wednesday!!!! Time flies! My family flew in friday night and are staying till Thurs morning. Its been fun having them up here. We had a huge party yesterday form my brother. Tons of people crammed in my grandma's house. I am glad people kept coming and going cuz we all wouldn't have been able to fit if everyone came at once.

The only downfall right now, is that my school performance is suffering. These upper level classes are killer. Tests every week, quizes every other day, TONS of reading, papers, assignments, group projects, research (times that by five). I want to shoot myself at times. I can't wait to graduate in the fall. Thats the plan, cross your fingers. I got a scholarship for spring and summer term, so no vaction :/

I only have a couple more days to hang out with my brother before he leaves for two years. We are making them memorable for sure. Pictures soon to come (hopefully..I haven't been using my camera) Also, I can't believe my little sister is going to college in the fall. I feel OLD!

Happy Valentines Day!

YAY for breakfast in BED!! :) My sweet husband made me strawberry crepes (my favorite!) He has started a tradition of taking me to go see chick flicks on v-day. We went to go see He is Just Not That Into You, and were forced to share a seat. :/ It was so crowded. Thank goodness we are both small! It was a really good movie though. The weather sucked! It unfortunately snowed which kept us in doors.

Early V-DAY gifts

We got a package in the mail today from Adam's parents. They sent us a very cute card a long with a this dancing love machine man (They said they got it because he looks like Adam) haha I think he kinda does too!! Adam can't quite dance like him though... doesn't stop him from trying haha, he has been dancing around sporadically singing, "I am just a love machine." Thanks in-laws lol.

We went to see's candy and picked out a pound of chocolate today. YUM. I can't wait to dig into it. We also got a couple things of sparkling apple cider.

AND Adam came home this evening with the lovely pink roses! :D
Love the flowers babe!

Haven't quite decided what we are doing for v-day yet. Any ideas? We were going to go stay at Little America and eat their fancy brunch, but didn't want to drop that kind of money right now.

Sexual Harassment

After our sex and gender class was over today, Adam and I met with our group to discuss ideas for our project. Our group liked the idea that Adam and I came up with together the best, so they wanted us to go get it approved from our teacher...
So, Adam and I go up to the teacher and start discussing our idea with her. She looks down at my ring and says, "You're married!!" (Like something wasn't right). I looked at her confused and said, "Ya, he is my husband, pointing over at Adam." She gasped and said with relief, "OH GOOD!!" Then preceded to say, "I saw him touch your butt and I thought it was sexual harassment, and thought I had to intervene and report it." Adam and I started laughing because neither one of us remembered him touching my butt. When you get married, these actions turn into automatic responses. We said that we would try to keep the PDA down a notch. We thought it was hilarious.

Watch out for "Crazy" at Denny's

This is the HUGE line we waited in. The line wrapped all the way around the building. We almost didn't stay because Adam and I both had class at 12:05 and figured it would take more than an hr. and a half. (We arrived at 10:30). I walked up to the front of the line and asked how long those people had been waiting, and to my surprise, they answered 30 min. Adam, Erika, and I decided WHY NOT..the weather isn't too bad and its not everyday you get free food right? So we waited in line which gave Erika and I the chance to catch up since we don't see each other very often, which was nice. Adam ran into one of his good friends and his ex-girlfriend. There were a lot of BYU students hanging out, so it was fun.

However, there was an insane woman in front of us in line (If you look at the picture at the top...she is the lady in the bottom left corner). She was like the line Gestapo. She wouldn't let anyone get by her, who she assumed was cutting or joining their party. I thought there was going to be a smack down at one point. She would get all up in peoples faces. Everyone around us was scared of her...i'm not kidding. The people behind us had a few people joining up in their group and worried the lady would go all crazy on them. So they kept letting people go ahead of them, hoping the lady wouldn't notice when their other friends arrived.

So we get inside and they are handing out coupon booklets. This "crazy" lady pretended she was handing them out to people, and got a huge handful and shoved them in her pocket (TOTAL HYPOCRITE). She even grabbed another handful later. Adam swore she was homeless and that the other lady who was with her had picked her up off the street. Erika actually overheard "Crazy" talking with this other lady...and found out they both came alone...and crazy had invited herself to sit with this other woman. So she was not homeless after all..just Crazy!

One of the boys who was waiting on his other friends went inside to use the bathroom. When he came out he came up to us and said, "Man that crazy lady has got some issues" or something to that extent, not realizing that the lady was right behind him. He turned around because Erika and I were pointing and giving him the signal to stop talking, and realized what had just happened (You should have seen the look on his face). He immediately began saying, "no the OTHER crazy lady"He was totally embarrassed and went back into the bathroom to hide LOL. Luckily right after the incident it was Crazys turn to be seated.

Needless to say, Crazy was the highlight of the day. We couldn't stop laughing. So we were glad we waited in line after all. Adam and I were 30 min late to class but it was no biggie.

Adam hates pictures especially in the morning. What a butt! He pulled down his hood right before Erika took the picture.
