Fun times

We decide to go to California Adventure and Disneyland on Thursday. We thought the weather would scare other people away. It was freezing!! It didn't rain much though :) We had a great time together. My sister hadn't been in like 5 years. We went with our neighbors Ashley and Lorraine.

Okay, SERIOUSLY!?!?!  This was the first thing was saw when we entered the park. A fat girl with pimples all over her legs, and a piece of toilet paper stuck in her FAT CREASE. First of all, its freezing out side. Second of all, that skimpy short skirt should not be worn by anyone period (even if you are skinny).  Over confidence maybe? Idk but WOW.

My favorite part of the Aladdin show :)

Apparently I didn't get the memo.

The swinging carts are pretty fun.

My favorite ride. I love Tower of Terror. My neighbor, Heather Goodin, use to come over and watch the Twilight Zone with me when we were kids.

Disneyland <3

I like the party hat on Mickey.

SAD! Someone jumped off the ride and stole the keys from the dogs mouth.

K I learned several FUN FACTS about this ride. This ride it totally haunted!! ha. You know how they have several pictures of men be-headed by the same woman. Well that woman's name is Constance.  She married and killed five men for their riches. Some of the Imagineer's names (the people who help create that ride) are located on the tomb stones. Madame Leota, the lady in the crystal ball, is a projection of the head of Imagineer Leota Toombs. If you look closely you can see actual fortune teller cards laying on the table. They are real. Walt Disney got them from a gypsy back in the day. The miniture bride doll at the end of the ride that talks to you and tells you to come back is referred to "little Leota." The illusion that u see in the ball room is called "peppers ghost" it is incredibly easy using only a light animatronics and a window. The dolls are painted blue and are infront of the window. The light shines on them to make them look like they appear in that room. Also next time you ride that ride, look for the spider on the glass. It is an expensive glass that Disney could not replace after a man shot the window back in the day. That's scary  to know that a man got into Disneyland with a gun. They put a spider on the glass to hide it. The five singing busts were famous actors back in the day. The raven was originally suppose to tell the story of the haunted mansion but no one caught on to that idea. You can spot a raven in every room.

Yes, we went on the Winnie the Pooh ride. I use to watch that show all the time when I was a kid. Tigger was my fav!

I love this shop located next to the Winnie the Pooh ride. There are sooo many dessert items to choose from. I really wanted one of those minnie carmel apples, but they were like ten bucks. Bakerella shows you how to make them, so I might just attempt that one day.

My sister and I decided to get the Oreo Cookie Brownie.

Sitting on my Honey Throne!! I LOVE honey. I either have a piece of toast with just plain honey or a piece of toast with peanut butter and honey every single day.

I always enjoy Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.

I was forced to go on Its a Small World to see all the Disney characters they had added. I still hate this ride. ha.

We saw CAPTAIN EO!!!! This brought back so many memories from my childhood. As a family, we got season passes to Disneyland almost every year until I reached High School age.

We had some New Orleans style dessert (Beignets). Those things are like a donut and funnel cake combined which = deliciousness. For dinner we had New York Style pizza and sandwiches. We brought our own lunches in the park. We had lots of hot chocolate to warm us up.

Saturday

We decided to go to California Adventure during Adam's birthday weekend, since he had never been before. Being a warmer day we first headed to their water ride called Grizzly River Run. We were smart and brought ponchos b/c believe me people come off that ride looking like they just pulled their clothes out of the washer and put them back on again. Everyone in our little river raft thingy started teasing us at first calling us wimps. Lots of water is thrown at you basically, and by the middle of the ride everyone was wishing they had ponchos too. They were completely jealous.

(us all nice and dry after the ride)

We used fast pass the whole time, so we never had to wait in line. We went to see the Aladdin show next. I would recommend this show to anyone who hasn't seen it before. We both really enjoyed it. (I love the magic carpet ride part. It's very cool) Adam thought soaring over California was lame. The only thing enjoyable is all the aromas!! Kinda makes you hungry when you smell the oranges. ha. I took Adam to the tortilla and sour dough bread factories afterwards, so we could get some food in our systems. We didn't plan to stay too long at California Adventure since there isn't that much to do. We went on Tower of Terror the one good and enjoyable ride that they have there. Adam loved it.

(we couldn't get this picture to turn out real well b/c of the sun)

The other rides we went on before were left were the roller coaster, the free fall, and the ferris wheel (in a swinging one of course). Adam wanted to play some carni games before we left. We had an enjoyable time together. We always do. We enjoyed some good authentic Indian food afterwards. They had a sweet 16 party and a marriage going on at the same time. It was fun seeing everyone in those cool looking outfits.

Adam made one in :oP

Disneyland (v-day) present

Adam surprised me with 2fer passes to Disneyland & California Adventure for Valentines Day. Adam's been wanting to go b/c the last time he went was in 8th grade (for 8th grade graduation). He hasn't been to California Adventure yet, so it will be fun to take him during his birthday next month.

Going on our favorite ride: Space Mountain. It was nice because we got there when the park opened so we didn't have to wait in any huge line. We wanted to go back on it at night, so we got fast passes. Our first ride was Pirates b/c its so classic.

Adam's first time going on this boat ride resulted in pictures of the animals.

We enjoyed going on Indiana Jones. I was the driver and a little handicap boy sat next to Adam. He was wearing the whole Indiana Jone's attire. He kept screaming, "don't look into the eye." Then at the end of the ride he kissed an Indiana Jones figurine and yelled "YES" really loudly. ha. He was pretty cute.
I have always wanted one of those clam chowder bread bowls, so we had this snack a couple hours after eating our sack lunch. They now serve gumbo. They had a couple different flavors. We went with the steak gumbo. It was deliciously spicy.

We killed some time in toon town while we waited for our splash mountain fast pass time. By the time we went on splash mountain the sun had gone down. We got put in the front and got drenched. ha. It looked like we had peed our pants three times. It was okay b/c we went to our cars after that and got dinner and warmed up and put on warmer clothes.

We watched the parade. It wasn't that exciting. Not like I use to remember. I can't understand why two people I know are dancers there, and why another one is desperately trying to get on as one. Super corny and embarrassing was my reaction. Actually only one person I know dances there b/c the other one left b/c they didn't like how things were being run. They got a new director a while back. They should fire him or her, for everyone's sake.

Adam loves Starwars. Aren't these backpacks awesome!

They have the scoring backwards. I am player one! I am not competitive. lol
We had such a fun time together even though Disneyland is for kids. I am glad we were able to do something fun right before Adam starts work. He starts tomorrow at 9:30am. We bought him nice pants and stuff yesterday. He looks very handsome in his new outfit. We are excited. We will be doing more shopping later. Adam doesn't like to shop, so we have to do several short trips. lol.

My mom just made her cinnamon rolls for Adam. We are excited they are almost done! They are to die for.

We taught our primary class today for the first time. We just got called to teach the sunbeams. The girls are so cute. The boys are a handful :/. They are cute too though.  My parent's home teacher came over this afternoon. Two of his daughters are in our class. He said that they were excited about us being their teachers and that they told him and his wife that we didn't have any kids. lol. They asked us if we had any kids in class b/c Adam showed them a picture of Christ with children. That is funny that they remembered.

I can't wait for it to get warm again so we can go to the beach! We went to Oceanside on Monday before it got all cold and rainy again.

Love their fish and chips. We stopped here and then got some ice cream. I tried banana nut and enjoyed it very much. I love banana now and laters so that gave me incentive to try this new flavor.
