Inspired by Lacey

I got this recipe off the the Cooks.com website because I wanted to try out Lacey's cookies. I wanted to use chocolate pudding mix instead and cut Lacey's recipe in half. This one is practically the same as hers. It turned out great. Adam and I are about to enjoy our second batch straight from the oven.

JELLO PUDDING CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES

2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. granulated sugar
3/4 c. light brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 pkg. (4 serving size) chocolate instant pudding
2 eggs
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
1 c. chopped nuts, optional

Combine butter, the sugars, vanilla and the pudding mix in large bowl, beat until smooth and creamy. Beat in the eggs. Gradually add flour and soda; then stir chips and nuts. Batter will be stiff.

Drop by rounded teaspoons about 2 inches apart onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes about 7 dozen
