Our brief stay on Oahu

Apparently celebrities have been married at this cute little church at the Grand Wailea
Our yummy banana boat ice cream split we shared during our visit to the Grand Wailea. It had frozen banana's dipped in chocolate. The best banana split we have ever had. The pineapple made it extra yummy.
This is at the Grand Wailea Hotel just after we landed in Maui.

Everything below this point is from our stay in O'ahu
Our balcony at the hotel overlooking Ala Wai Canal..
If you look closely you can see that Holly is wearing part of her dinner (hint: it's just above her left ear).
Dinner at Duke's in Waikiki. We had a good seat overlooking the beach and right by the band.

Coconut shrimp and steak.

I think this was Holly's first of many virgin, sugary, seven dollar drinks. I believe we decided the Lava Flow was our favorite. It's basically a Pina Colada with strawberry.

The band at Duke's. They were really good and the guy in the middle was great on the guitar.
I am going to take Holly to the Polynesian Cultural Center on our next trip. This is an all day adventure. We weren't able to do this because instead of having two days as planned we only had one (We will never fly delta again b/c they made us miss our connecting flight and didn't want to deal with us after-they were 40 min late getting us into Las Vegas where we were suppose to catch Hawaiin airlines to Honolulu) We had to fly back to Salt Lake, then to Portland, then to honolulu in order to catch the last flight to hawaii that night. It was a horrible experience. We will be writing a letter with all the horrible details.

Laie Point

I showed Holly around BYU Hawaii. I miss it.

Our lovely rental car that looks like a triceratops.
The beautiful Hawaii Temple
Holly bought those cheap ugly sunglasses because her other ones broke. Look how tan everyone is behind her. ha.

We ate at this cute little bakery on our way to Haleiwa. We were surprised at how good the sandwiches were. They also had really good chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies.
jumping of the rock
I bet you can't find me. I looks like a local
At Waimea Bay

Bridge into Haleiwa
The famous Matsumoto shaved ice. It was SO good and super cheap. It cost only 2.25 to have ice cream on the bottom w/ it and they charge a quarter for those purple cup holders (2.50 total). On Maui everything is pricey. We payed 7 dollars each for shaved ice by the Hyatt pool.
I love how they have a minum speed limit. There are too many asians who drive way too slow and take pictures of everything.

Looks like you guys had a fun time! You'll have to tell us all the good places to go for when we go in April. Everytime we've gone to hawaii we've always flown Hawaiian...I don't blame you for not liking delta. Hopefully they give you some free tickets or something!

Looks like you guys had a ton of fun! My family and I actually stayed at the Grand Wailea when we went to Maui a few years ago. The little church is gorgeous, and my aunt got married there.

This reminds me of our trip to Hawaii. We also ate ate Dukes, went to Waimea Bay a couple times (although, I was too chicken to jump off the rock,) and had the best shave ice ever with ice cream at the bottom in Haleiwa. You guys look like you had so much fun.
